Who can apply and complete the application form?

The application for Business Accreditation must be signed and authorised by the Principal/ Owner/ Director/ Authorised Representative of the entity applying for Business Accreditation.

SECTION 1 - Is the business likely to qualify?
The business can quickly assess its chances of successfully qualifying for Business Accreditation by answering the following questions.

1.1 Is the member applying for Business Accreditation a current financial member of the Specialised Textiles Association? *

1.2 Is the business registered and trading prominently in Australia? *

1.3 Is the business currently trading as an ongoing concern for taxation purposes? *

1.4 Can the applicant confirm that the business IS NOT subject to: (1) an order or resolution to wind it up (except for reconstruction or amalgamation), (2) liquidation, (3) official management, (4) a receiver (including provisional receiver or receiver manager of any assets of the business), or an administrator being appointed? *

1.5 Can the applicant confirm that none of the legal owners/ directors/ authorised representatives of the business are (1) bankrupt, (2) subject to any bankruptcy notifications, (3) been convicted of any offence under the Corporations Act, or (4) been convicted of a criminal offence or subject to criminal proceedings? *

1.6 Does the business have a certificate of currency for public' liability insurance to the value of at least $10m? *

1.7 Does the business have a certificate of currency for workers' compensation insurance for workers it is legally required to cover? *

1.8 If the business provides professional or business services, does the business have a certificate of currency for professional indemnity insurance to the value of at least $5m? *

1.9 Can the applicant confirm, to the best of his or her knowledge, that the business seeking Business Accreditation conducts its business lawfully and complies with all relevant legislation, regulations, industry codes and standards including work, health and safety? *

If you answered YES to all questions above, please continue to the next section.
If you answered NO to any of the questions above, you will likely not be successful in your application for Business Accreditation at this time and are advised not to continue. Please contact the STA Office to discuss what you can do to increase your likelihood of success in the future.
